Rock Paper Scissors has a reputation as a game with no skill. That is only true for a single throw. Stretch it across a match — Best of 3, 5 or 7 — and it becomes a fast, ruthless test of reading the person in front of you.
On our board you play Rock Paper Scissors online against a real person. You create a private invite link, someone opens it, and the two of you throw at the same time, round after round. No bot, no house, nobody but the two of you.
Rock Paper Scissors is a mind game, not luck
If you always throw at random you will win about a third of the time — and lose a third. Against anyone who notices patterns, that is enough to lose a match. Real players do three things that random players never do:
- They repeat after a win. Most people keep the throw that just beat you. Punish that.
- They "upgrade" after a loss. The classic ladder is rock to paper to scissors. Expect the step up.
- They have a favourite. Many open with rock. Notice it in the first round and use it.
How a two-player match works here
- Open the Rock Paper Scissors setup.
- Pick Best of 1, 3, 5 or 7 and choose Fun Game (Free) or Bet XMR.
- Add a nickname and get your private invite link.
- Share it. Whoever opens it first becomes your opponent.
- Throw simultaneously each round — neither player can see the other's hand before it is revealed.
Play for fun, or put Monero on the line
Fun Game is free and needs no account: a nickname is all it takes. If you want stakes, Bet XMR locks the same amount from both players and pays the whole pot — minus a flat 5% house fee — to the winner the moment the match ends. Because a real person is on the other side, the odds are always an honest coin flip. Canceled or unaccepted invites are refunded automatically.
Challenge someone now: create a Rock Paper Scissors match and send the link. See if they can read you.
